Turkey is an excellent source of tryptophan - a natural amino acid which induces sleep; a turkey sandwich with a cup of warm milk at bedtime might cure sleeplessness.

Make a tea out of one or several herbs: Catnip, Cowslip, German Camomile, Hops, Passion Flower, Valerian, Balm, Linden, Melissa. Drink several times a day if possible.

Massage the soles of your feet with mustard oil at bedtime.

Only lie down if you intend sleeping. Don't watch TV in bed, or lie on the floor to watch TV. Lying down time is sleep time - your body needs to learn that.

Practice relaxation techniques such as relaxing your body's muscle groups gradually, from the toes up.
